Hi,
I am building a GPS clock based on Project 45(Book). The time zone correction for the time works OK. But when i try to add the date to the display the date updates at UTC 0 time (10 or 11am here in Melbourne). Have I missed something? Do I need extra code or do I have do something like use the GPS to update an RTC module?

Any help would be gratefully received.

The GPS always returns GMT.
You need to do some math in your code to take the time zone into account before you display any data.
So for Melbourne, add 10 or 11 (damn DST!) hours - then check if you've gone over 24. If so, add one to the date - check if gone over the month - if so, add one to month and reset day to 1. Then display date/time.
